Event & Media Technologies has come a long way since its inception. Established and developed by life-long friends Aaron Vetter and Spencer Russell in 2012 – the company has grown to quickly show a very promising future.

 Spencer
Owner

In his early years, Spencer was a dedicated musician with aspirations of a career in performance and training. However, as the time passed he found a passion for studio recording and engineering. Knowing this would be an extremely difficult career path – Spencer turned his professional efforts towards live event audio, video, and lighting production. Together with life-long friend and cohort Aaron Vetter, they decided to pursue a joint business venture and as such, Event & Media Technologies was born.

 Aaron
Owner

Aaron discovered a love for music at a young age. Through musical lessons and playing bass guitar in various bands, this passion evolved into an interest in audio engineering. He received his Associates in Audio Engineering and Bachelors in Music Business from Full Sail University.  After returning home to northern Virginia, Aaron spent two years as a warehouse manager for a premier lighting company and then decided to join the local freelance community. After spending two years in this capacity, Aaron and his business partner Spencer co-founded Event & Media Technologies. His responsibilities now include financial planning & management, establishing business relationships and sales.

 Phil
Director of Operations

Business Management and Communications have always been deep-rooted passions of Phil’s. He received his bachelor’s degree from George Mason University and continues to utilize his learnings each and every day. His natural-born leadership is the foundation for his stellar team management in the A/V staffing realm. Ensuring customer satisfaction is a day-to-day process that Phil has honed, and takes immense pride in. Becoming a part of Event & Media Technologies, alongside his lifelong friends, has been a dream come true!

 Jonah
Director of Sales

Jonah began his lifelong love with this industry at George Mason University where he majored in Technical Theater. He was an avid employee of the GMU Event Production team which ran AV for all in-house productions. Eventually becoming lead, he parlayed those skills into sales at GC Pro, an AV install based team. There he met Aaron and Spencer as their account manager helping advise where he could. Always feeling like a member of the team anyway, he eventually made the leap, and the rest is history.

 Benjamin Campbell
Assistant Manager

Ben studied Business at Radford University where he learned the skills necessary to succeed everyday at Event & Media Tech. He started in the AV industry as a GAV tech and has since moved into an office role. He has a true passion for his work and helping the business grow. Aaron and Spencer have given him the opportunity to help in building something special, turning a dream into reality.

Richard Taylor Kimball
Equipment and Logistics Manager

Taylor developed a passion for playing music with his friends at an early age, that soon transformed into a love for live sound and show production. With many of his peers transitioning into the freelance audiovisual world he was instantly intrigued by the opportunities. After developing his skills by freelancing over the years, he joined his lifelong friends in their journey at Event & Media Technologies. Here Taylor is able to apply his broad skill set as the Equipment and Logistics Manager by developing the shows he had once dreamt to be a part of.
